Used rooibos tea bags placed on the eyes for a minute or two are great at eliminating stress shadows and reducing post-party puffiness. Rooibos leaves contain lots of AHAs and antioxidants which cleanse the skin of harmful free radicals, and protect against premature ageing. They have a soothing effect – and save you an average of £26 on eye creams.
Relax in a rooibos bath for a natural, warm, healthy skin glow. Four or five teabags should be steeped in a hot tub and left to infuse for five minutes or so. As well as soothing and cleansing the skin, the lightly tanned water gives the skin a slight honey glow; saving an average of £15.35 on fake tan products.
To give mid–length hair a warm brown tint, steep a couple of bags in hot water (more for a deeper colour) and stand for 10 minutes before massaging through your hair. Wrap with an old towel and relax for 20 minutes, then rinse (saving around £5.28 on hair dye). Tick Tock Original Organic Rooibos Tea, £1.99 for 40 bags.
